Buonanotte Milano
Late evening found me around the Duomo in Milan. I had my camera with me... and realized I never paid homage to this square.
Remember the previous post about flying to Milan? This is from the next day. Sunday evening I went out for an aperitivo with two friends. One of us had some connections to the terrazza next to the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II. This meant we could enjoy the dusk in the middle of Milan from a premium seat.
Since we began our affair with Milan in 2024, I look forward to a certain Instagram post every morning. It simply says "Buongiorno Milano", and contains several excellent photos of various landmarks of the city. The posts come from a devoted local photographer by the name Andrea Cherchi, who also posts about local life and businesses specific not only to Milan but one neighborhood or another.
No matter where the morning finds me (most of the time I am in Budapest), these posts are the perfect sendoff for the day. So it only seems fitting that I pay homage to them, once I, quite accidentally, make an entire photoshoot of central Milan after dark.
Not all photos were taken around the Duomo; one of them is from Corso di Porta Ticinese, can you guess which?
